“The Next Food Network Star” and “Chopped All-Stars” contestant Penny Davidi is coming to the “Los Angeles County Arboretum” with “The Next Food Network Star” Finalist Jyll Everman to judge the annual “Taste of Arcadia”!
With the beautiful arboretum as the perfect backdrop local restaurants, caterers, and wine/beer vendors battle it out Monday, September 24 @ 5:30 PM. The best part? You can taste what the judges taste! No more staring at the TV, wishing they would invent “taste-o-vision”, you can pick and choose from over 75 vendors preapproved by the City of Arcadia!
Have a beer and listen to “Lounge-O-Rama”, a local band composed of JPL and NASA employees, or dance along with Brazilian dancers after dark. If you’re looking for something a little quieter, head over to “The Roost” where you can enjoy wine tasting in a more secluded area. Rumor has it that Debbie Turner (Marta), Angela Cartwright (Brigitta) and Kym Karath (Gretl), 3 of the kids from “The Sound of Music” will also be making an appearance.
The “Taste of Arcadia” will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 @ 5:30PM-9:00PM at “The Los Angeles County Arboretum” in Arcadia. Tickets are $50 pre-purchased or $60 at the door. A portion of the proceeds are given to local charities.
