Looking to escape the Inland Empire heat this weekend? Jump on a Metrolink train and head down to the 35th Annual San Clemente Ocean Festival, “The Greatest Show on Surf.” The festival has a variety of events Saturday and Sunday for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Saturday’s events include an early morning Children’s Fishing Clinic and Derby, Waterman and Waterwoman Championships, topped off with an evening Beach Party and Free Concert. Sunday will host “Groms Rule” Surf Contest, All Ages Fishing Derby and the Annual Great Rubber Duck Race.
Throughout the entire weekend the festival will host a City Lifeguard Pancake Breakfast, Woody Car Exhibit, an Ocean Art Show and a bevy of Children’s activities including face painting, Carnival games and crafts. Tickets for the face painting, games and crafts will be available to purchase on site.

The event will be located on and around the San Clemente Pier. There is free parking and shuttle from San Clemente High School to the pier. There is limited parking available at the Pier. A great way to head down there is on the Metrolink.

Metrolink offers a $10 weekend pass. Southbound trains leave the Inland Empire Saturday and Sunday as follows:

Riverside-Downtown- 9:15 am
Riverside-La Sierra – 9:26 am
North Main Corona – 9:35 am
West Corona- 9:42 am

Leaving from the Fullerton area?
