Michelle Raimo Kouyate, president of production for Sony Pictures Animation, will speak at the University of California, Riverside on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. in Highlander Union Building 302N. Michelle Raimo Kouyate will present a free talk at UCR on November 7, 2012.
Kouyate will discuss her early foray into live-action filmmaking, rising through the ranks from development assistant to senior vice president of development and production at Miramax Films, before transitioning into the animation field.
Her projects include Hotel Transylvania by Genndy Tartakovsky, The Smurfs 2, Popeye, and Kazorn and the Unicorn. Her former films include Puss in Boots, Chocolat, and Ella Enchanted.
The event is sponsored by the UC Riverside Women’s Resource Center as part of the Leadership Series and the Leadership Community for Women Initiative.
