Pizza and Wine Pairing Dinner this Friday at Chris Kern’s Forgotten Grapes. Just $35 per person

May has been a wacky month for wine events at Chris Kern’s Forgotten Grapes, what with us covering Forgotten Reds in our Wine-01 class and turning our Around the World in Six Glasses class on its head by focusing on just one varietal (Malbec). So why should we stop with our end-of-the month wine dinner! You’re right: we won’t!Instead of bringing in a specialty chef to do the cooking for you, we’re going to bring the pizzas into the shop. Namely, we’ll be hand-selecting five different gourmet pizzas from five different pizza companies in and around the area, and we’ll be pairing a different wine with each unique individual pie! Call us crazy, but can you think of a better way to spend a Friday night? Unless it involves Jennifer Love Hewitt and the girl who plays “Annie” on Community, we can’t!We’ll be trying thin-crust pizza, thick-crust pizza, deep dish Chicago-style pizza, meat lovers, vegetarian lovers, chicken Alfredo, a wide variety of different pies. And of course, you’ll get a generous pour of the five different wines from the Chris Kern’s Forgotten Grapes portfolio to pair with each slice.

The best part is, because there’s no chef preparing your meal, we’re able to drop the price to this unique and outrageously fun wine dinner to just $35 per person (excluding tax and gratuity, of course).

But as with all of our wine dinners, we’re limiting this one to a maximum of 16 participants, but trust us, you do not want to miss this one, particularly not at this price and if you’ve ever had wine and pizza before in your life (and who hasn’t???).
