Lobster Festivals 2012 (Long Beach, Port of LA, Redondo Beach)

If your answer to “when was the last time you went to a lobster festival” is anything but yesterday, you’re overdue!

Long Beach Lobster Festival (September 7th-9th)- The Long Beach Lobster festival offers a main stage playing Motown, decades music (60’s, 70’s, 80’s), Southern Rock, and County Western, and a children’s stage with storytelling, magicians, juggling, and the dynamic entertaining duo of “Terrell & Takako”. You can also find a dance floor, international food court, 2 “Beach bars”, and fresh Main Lobster (flown in daily!). Regular 1 day ticket (which includes entry and souvenir photo only) is $13. Children 12 and under are free. Admission with lobster meal is $28 (Prices are pre-sale only and are a lot more at the gate!!!) Other packages are available on the website.

Port of LA Lobster Festival (September 14-16th)-  Live music, Maine lobster, and the newly renovated Ports O’ Call Seaport as a backdrop…how can you complain? Well, maybe someone in your party doesn’t (gasp!)like lobster. Set them up with some ribs or delicious tri-tip, followed by some funnel cake and I’m sure they’ll be thrilled. The kids will be kept entertained by a face painter, magician, and even a Pirate Camp. Food trucks are also expected this year! Regular tickets (without lobster meal) are $10/adult. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets with the lobster meal are $41.00. Parking is free.

Redondo Beach Lobster Festival (September 21-23rd)-  Maine lobster and certified Angus steak, what goes more perfectly together? The Redondo Beach Lobster Festival offers individual and couples surf and turf, “Small Louie”, and “Big Louie” (2 lbs of lobster!) packages. Each package comes with a Tee-shirt, in order to make your friends (or better yet co-workers!) jealous. A variety of live music will be playing all day and night as you hop from one delicious food booth (or beer stand) to another. Or take some time to enjoy the family fun area. When they say family fun, they mean it! Carnival games, face painting, and a huge slide for the young ones, and mechanical bull riding and paddle board lessons for the young at heart. Pre-sale tickets are $10/adults (without lobster meal), Kids (6-12) are $5. Individual and couples lobster/steak packages are from $33-68.
