L.A. D-Fenders playing First Game @ Citizens Business Bank Arena

For those of you who love to watch some basketball and want to see the next great stars of the NBA, come check out your LA D-Fenders play at the Citizens Bank Arena. This is going to be their first game ever played at Citizens Bank Arena so come be apart of NBA Development League history.

The Los Angeles D-Fenders will host a special preseason game on November 17th against the Bakersfield Jam at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., it was announced today.  The contest will be the first NBA Development League game ever played at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to showcase the D-Fenders to basketball fans in Ontario,” said Joey Buss, D-Fenders President and CEO.  “Playing here is exciting for us because we have a chance to expand our fan base and bring basketball to Citizens Business Bank Arena just as the Lakers do year after year.”

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm and fans can expect performances from the 2012-13 Laker Girls.  Tickets will go on sale September 24th online at Cbbankarena.com and by telephone at 1-888-9-AXS-TIX (888-929-7849).  Prices start as low as $12.  For special group rates on parties of 15 or more, please contact Jessica Reveles at 1-909-244-5516.

The D-Fenders are coming off of a historic 2011-12 season in which they shattered the NBA D-League record for wins in a season (38), earned the Regular Season Champion award and reached the NBA D-League Finals.  In addition, the D-Fenders developed eight NBA Call-Ups along with six Lakers assignment players en route to winning the inaugural Development Champion award.
During the D-Fenders last meeting with the Jam in 2012, the D-Fenders completed a 2-0 NBA D-League Semifinals sweep to reach their first Finals berth in franchise history.  Including the playoffs, the D-Fenders lead the all-time series versus the Jam 21-18.
