Human Roast House invites you to down to the former home of Austin Reed Trebbe, a clearly disturbed man who lived in downtown Riverside near University and Main St. Trebbe’s house opened on Oct. 5th and will frighten inlanders until Halloween night!
Wander through the mind of Austin Reed Trebbe, where insanity rules. With a word of warning, we were ushered into his house. A demon girl asks me to play, but we wisely walk past her. Unfortunately that only leads deeper into the depths of the horror house. Unsure of what was reality and what was delusion we marched on passed brightly lit clown rooms, dark eerie corners, and a ton of girls-some chained, some caged, some bloody and begging for your help, and even some in the process of being killed!!!
Think the other haunted events are too expensive? This one is only $10 for a well-produced opportunity to face every boogieman in your mind that resides in Trebbe’s house, from clowns to insane doctors and the butcher! Even before you enter the sounds of chainsaws, screams, and maniacal laughter filled the air, setting the tone of what was to come.
The idea behind opening this house up to the public came from Joshua Roa St Pierre, a 17 year old Riverside native who has (in previous years) hosted haunted houses at his parent’s house. This year, Joshua has the support of the City of Riverside and the Inland Arts Council, as well as The Bloodbrothers from Temecula, designers of the Field of Screams Haunted Stadium in Lake Elsinore, who spoke highly of Josh’s talents. Josh met the twins at the West Coast Haunters Convention in Portland as both went pro in the same year.
The Human Roast House is located at the corner of University and Main (near Market) in Downtown Riverside. In 2012, it will be open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning October 5, and open on Halloween night, October 31, 2012.
