Harlem Globetrotters will celebrate their 86th consecutive year in 2012 with a game at Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena on February 20, 2012 – Presidents’ Day! The Globetrotters will be continuing a world famous tradition of ball handling wizardry, basketball artistry and one-of-a-kind family entertainment that continues to thrill fans of all ages.
Throughout their history, the Globetrotters have showcased their iconic talents in 120 countries and territories on six continents, often breaking down cultural and societal barriers while providing fans with their first-ever basketball experience. Proud inductees of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the Globetrotters have entertained hundreds of millions of fans—among them popes, kings, queens, and presidents—over more than eight thrilling decades.
Superstar “Big Easy” Lofton (two-time Amazing Race favorite) heads the lineup with new rookie sensation “TNT” Maddox, the first female Globetrotter in 19 years, and LA’s own newcomer Jermaine “Stretch” Middleton, at 7’4” the third-tallest player in team history.
Smiles and thrills score big with all ages when the Magicians of Basketball light up the hard court at the Honda Center (Saturday, Feb. 18 at 1:00pm and 7:00pm), STAPLES Center (Sunday, Feb. 19 at 12:00pm and 5:00pm), and Citizens Business Bank Arena (Monday, Feb. 20 at 2:00pm).
