Downtown Riverside Celebrates Fashion’s Night Out

Riverside Downtown Partnership, in conjunction with  Art Institute-Inland Empire and fashion bible Vogue Magazine present to us fashion lovers in the Inland Empire a night completely dedicated to high fashion. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 from 4-11 p.m., local fashion designers will join vendors and artists to  introduce cutting edge merchandise for previewing and sampling.

Fashion’s Night Out is an International fashion and shopping extravaganza with participating cities including: Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Milan, Paris, London, Lisbon and now…. Riverside!

Downtown Riverside Celebrates Fashion’s Night Out will kick-off with a Main Street Fashion Show produced by The Art Institute of California-Inland Empire in the Civic Plaza block on Main between University and Mission Inn and showcasing the latest fashion trends from 6-7 p.m. A special surprise opener of the Fashion Show will feature some of Riverside’s notable ladies. Confirmed special celebrity guests include the beautiful and talented Lisa Foiles, former Radio Disney child star who starred in Nickelodeon’s “All That” and can be seen in an upcoming thriller “Shiver”.  Also, KGGI radio personality, Evelyn Erives and the promotion team will be in on hand to meet and greet the audience.

Fashion treats await attendees from 4-9 p.m. as they are invited to pop in and out of boutiques and salons for FNO retail specials, beauty makeovers, how-to’s, product sampling music and more at the following participants: Boyd’s on Main, Delights and Invites, Cruz Custom Tailors, Magnolia’s, Mardon Jewelers, Mission Galleria, MP Couture, Mrs. Tiggy Winkles, The Parrott/T. Elliott Studio, Toni Moore Clothing, Purple Tiger Couture, Soul Dout Clothing and Accessories, Wendie Monrroy on Main, House of Flames, Don Carlos Hair Design, DragonMarsh, Old Glory, and Manhattans of Riverside Salon and Spa (who are also the official stylists for the Main Street Fashion Show).

Entertainment will be enjoyed throughout the event on all four blocks including jazz, vocalists, dance performers and more! Attendees can also feel like a star for a day by taking photos on the red carpet at the photo station located in the Civic Plaza block. Programs will be distributed detailing full information on the event activities.

In addition, Fashion Alley located in the Culver ArtsBlock on Main Street at Ninth will have a select number of vendors including certain downtown businesses with fashion merchandise such as handmade jewelry, artisan items, apparel, and more.

The celebration will continue from 9-11 p.m. with drink specials, entertainment, DJs and fun at the following after party locations: Phood on Main, Crescent Jewell, Menagerie, Worthington’s Tavern, The Hideaway Bar, and Back to the Grind.
