It might be a bit of a trek – but it will be well worth it to spend a fun night in Hollywood with the Craft Ladies. The “Craft Ladies” comedy web series is harnessing the power of crafting to fight breast cancer with their event Craft For The Cure on October 23 from 7 pm – 11 pm at Busby’s East in Hollywood (5364 Wilshire Blvd).
Craft For The Cure will benefit the Young Survival Coalition (YSC). The YSC works to bring awareness and educational resources to young women fighting breast cancer. Half of every ticket and 100% of donations and silent auction earnings will be donated to YSC.
Event guests will be able to make an assortment of crafts from owls from “Craft Ladies” premiere episode to decorative wine glasses. The evening will feature live music from Brad Wray, Hillary Tribbett and Aaron Durr. Guests will also get to enjoy a screening of the second episode of “Craft Ladies”.
There will be a silent auction featuring celebrity donations. Many fabulous items will be up for bid from celebrities including Rita Wilson (It’s Complicated), Rebecca Corry (Comedian), Debra Wilson (MAD TV) and Mo Collins (MAD TV/Parks & Recreation). Tickets for Craft Ladies Present: Craft For The Cure can be purchased at CraftFortheCure.Eventbrite.com for $12. Donations to benefit YSC can also be made through Eventbrite.
The comedy web series “Craft Ladies” is about Karen (Tiffany Anne Price) and Jane (Lauren De Long) — two best friends with a passion for crafting. These ladies love crafting about as much as they do a good pinot grigot and in each episode the Craft Ladies pick out a wine paring to go with that day’s craft. The real life “Craft Ladies” are Tiffany Anne Price and Lauren De Long, Hollywood actresses and real life crafters. They have both been crafting from a young age. A recent crafting disaster was inspiration for this hilarious new series. The Craft Ladies web series airs a new episode on Tuesdays at 7 pm (PST).Categories: Bars, Comedy, Drinks, Entertainment, Fundraisers, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Music & Concerts breast cancer fundraisercraft for the curecraft ladies
