Car Racing at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana

Hitting 90 mph in a souped out Honda Civic may be one thing, but it’s quite another to do some real racing in an autocross course in a race car or exotic sports car.

Those options are available for people in the Inland Empire at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. On select weekends throughout 2013, the speedway’s grounds are open for throttle-pulling adrenaline junkies to hit high speeds on a wide open, autocross race track.

And hitting high speeds in a NASCAR stock car, Ferrari, or Lamborghini is the way to do it.

The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience has the following dates for speedsters to get their thrills in Fontana. Participants can either sit shotgun, or pay a bit more to drive a NASCAR race car. imagesn

  • February 15–17
  • May 24–26
  • June 14–16
  • September 20–22
  • October 25–27
  • December 13–15

Check out their schedule page for more details.

A NASCAR vehicle may hit some high speeds, but breaking the speed limit probably feels the coolest in a Lamborghini or Ferrari. That’s where Imagine Lifestyles comes in. The luxury car rental company is offering the ultimate driving experience in Fontana starting Friday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, Feb. 24.

Just like with the Rimagesusty Wallace Racing Experience, Imagine Lifestyle’s driving package can have you pay a little less to sit shotgun for a few laps, or pay a bit more to drive. Driving an exotic sports car on an autocross track at Auto Club Speedway has got to be a thrilling experience worth more than a few bucks. Check out their racing page for more details.
