The California Beer Festival is returning to Claremont coming to San Dimas at Bonelli Park in 2012 on October 6!
The California Beer Festival 2011 included dozens of IE, SoCal and other breweries packed outside the new Eureka Burger Claremont. We were particularly amused by the bear mascot live on the premises, along with performing artists and live music.
Word from our inside source tells us this event will be in an even bigger venue in 2012. We had plenty of tickets last year, and we’ll have some giveaways this year as well! Follow us on Facebook for your chance to win.
Tickets are available online.VIP tickets will be $65, getting you in an hour early to meet the brewers and taste their craft while landing a meal ticket from any of the vendors. General tickets are only $45, which includes all you can taste brews. Designated driver tickets are priced at $25.

Karl Strauss was destined to brew beer. Born in 1912 on the premises of his father’s brewery in Minden, Germany, he spent his childhood playing amid beer barrels and sacks of fresh hops and barley. At age 19, he left home for Bavaria, the brewing capital of Germany, to attend the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan. There he earned a degree in the science and practice of malting and brewing, as well as a Master Brewer certification. Given the political situation in 1930s Germany, Karl had to look abroad for work. In February of 1939, he boarded the SS Manhatten and set sail for America, in pursuit of opportunity. His job search led him to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, home to one of the most famous breweries in the United States. | |
