Stand-up comedian Bill Burr will be performing at the Ontario Improv, June 29th through July 1st. Burr is best known for his critically
acclaimed, hour-long special, Let it Go, which was filmed at the Fillmore Theater in San Francisco and debuted on Comedy Central back in 2010. He has also made several guest appearances on popular television shows such as Chappelle’s Show and Breaking Bad. Burr is scheduled to do five shows at the Ontario Improv. With tickets at just $25 each, and a 21-and-over age restriction, each event is sure to be memorable.
Bill Burr’s comedic style is unlike any other comic out there right now. He does not discriminate against any social group—because everyone is the butt of his jokes. But don’t let that intimidate you. Burr makes priceless observations regarding the difference between men and women that will leave you gasping for air. Some of his jokes include anecdotes about his muscular pitt-bull; his hatred towards things like airports, stay-at-home-moms, and Oprah; and even his opinion on what it feels like to be unmarried at 42.
If you’ve never heard of Bill Burr, then you can download his weekly podcast called, “The Monday Morning Podcast.” The show is recorded out of his apartment every Monday morning and uploaded promptly, for all to hear. He has also been a guest on other popular podcasts such as Kevin Smith’s Hollywood Babble-on, WTF with Marc Maron, The Nerdist, and many more.
Yes, it’s safe to say that Bill Burr is one of the most honest comedians out there. That loveable, rhotic accent will have you laughing and gasping at the same time (if that is even possible). So, arrive early, order some Improv Nachos, a nice cocktail like the Peach Punchline, or if that’s not your thing, order a bottomless soda and just wait for the laughs to start. Showtimes for Bill Burr will be Friday, June 29th at 8:00pm and 10:00pm, Saturday, June 30th at 7:00pm and 9:00pm, and Sunday, July 1st at 7:00pm.
