All-Stars Tour 2012 @ City National Grove of Anaheim

Remember all those crazy and interchangeable metalcore bands you thought were completely amazing during your junior year of high school? Well, a good number of them just happen to be convening at the City National Grove of Anaheim August 8 during the All-Stars Tour.

Riverside’s very own Suicide Silence is headlining the nationwide tour along with Dance Gavin Dance, with performances by The Word Alive, I See Stars, A Skylit Drive, Winds of Plague, Stick To Your Guns, For the Fallen Dreams, Stray From the Path and many others. The tour promises to relive that awkward time in your life where you slicked your bangs over your left eye and filmed yourself hardcore dancing in your bedroom at one in the morning.

Suicide Silence has been a staple of the metal scene for a better part of the last decade, earning such accolades as “Best New Talent” by Revolver magazine. Their Inland Empire cohorts, Upland’s Winds of Plague, have been invading venues since 2002 and have been resting comfortably at the top of the massive mountain of metalcore musicians for a number of years.

The show starts bright and early at 1 pm and tickets are $33, which is relatively cheap, considering the number of bands that are scheduled to perform. So bust out your old pair of basketball shorts, your Bane hoodie and an extra batch of Sharpie markers to X up those hands of yours because the All-Stars Tour will make you want to party like it’s 2007.
