The 2012 Palm Springs Pride Festival is now underway. This is the 26th year that Palm Springs Pride has thrown this event. This weekend, you can partake in various outdoor festivities to show your support for the LGBT Community. Expect to see performances from many great artists in addition to the many great booths there are to visit. The festival features food trucks, various stages, the Big Top Cabaret Tent, the Country Western Dance Tent, karaoke, various beers and wines, HIV/AIDS testing by Desert AIDS Project, farmer’s market by Von’s, many other food and beverage booths, and 150 exhibitors and nonprofit organizations.
The Palm Springs Pride Parade is scheduled to begin at 10am on Sunday, Nov. 4th. The parade will start at the corner of Palm Canyon Dr and West Ramon Road and travel north. If you attend the parade, expect to see colorful floats, lavish costumes, and signs carried by the amazing supporters of the LGBT Community. The festival is happening Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm, but the parade will take place on Sunday only. For information about this year’s grand marshals, go to the event website.
